SCA was fortunate to take part in the construction of the recently developed St Clair Recreation Centre. Our team completed both the outdoor Rubber safety surfacing and Acrylic components of this extensive development.

SCA installed the wet pour rubber safety surfacing component utilising PlayKote Gezolan EPDM rubber granules across multiple areas totalling approximately 580m2. A multi colour design was employed to tie in with the colour scheme of the play equipment, which repurposed over 1500kg of recycled rubber product.

The acrylic component of this project was installed across a total of approximately 3650m2 using the Greenset 3 coat acrylic sports system. The team worked on-site with a detailed project plan and timeline commencing with excavation and installation of footings for equipment sleeves, followed by pressure washing to the entire bitumen substrate to prepare for the acrylic coats. 1 coat of Greenset Black Base was applied to the entire substrate to fill the bitumen. Once the base coat was sanded completely, the playing courts were marked and two coats of Greenset Colour Finish were installed, with velocity Blue applied on the playing court and True Blue on the surrounding area. The Line marking of four Tennis courts and two Futsal/Tennis courts were then undertaken to complete this extensive project.
