The required surfacing solution for this project was achieved through the installation of approximately 25m2 of black rubber surfacing. Australia is home to countless trees, but these trees and their expansive root systems can be problematic for streets and footpaths. An alternative to concrete and asphalt, rubber footpaths provide a slip resistant, porous and flexible solution. This is also a sustainable surfacing solution, using recycled car tyres and consequently reducing landfill.
