Surfacing Contractors Australia partnered with the City of Mitcham to deliver sustainable path upgrades at CC Hood Reserve in Panorama. The project included the installation of a new 120 m FlexiMix pathway to connect the dog park and play space, a FlexiMix section that replaced a damaged bitumen area affected by tree roots, and a PermeMix connection path adjoining the playground. Together, these permeable systems provide flexibility, durability, and effective water management while protecting existing tree roots and enhancing accessibility.

Incorporating 2.6 tonnes of recycled rubber (around 650 tyres), the upgrade demonstrates how SCA’s environmentally responsible surfacing solutions help councils create safer, greener, and longer‑lasting community infrastructure.
